Essentially Materials are wood and metal.
A number of Building upgrades require materials, which are produced via the Material Post , and stored inMaterial Storage. Also, other products like Battle Items , also require Materials.
There is also a roadmap mission where materials can be obtained. They can also be obtained via Missions , Daily Missions & Raids
